Many ordinary jobs that are now classified “system-relevant” did not
have much publicity or positive recognition in society before. For me,
they were classified almost as the opposite of BOOM – neither loud,
    explosive nor aiming for publicity.
But since the outbreak of the coronavirus, those ordinary jobs are
producing a huge impact on society. The former hidden regularities
become a BOOM: the regular jobs are now considered honorable, the
workers heroes and “system relevance” goes from ordinary to
    extraordinary.

During a month's residency period in an abandoned apartment block
(Plattenbau) in Hoyerswerda (East Germany) I made a performance called
"8 Hours work". As a manifestation of solidarity, I perform as a
coal-mining worker holding a carnation flower (Rote Nelke) for a
    period of eight hours.
